Information SHAKO collects
SHAKO may collect information you provide directly, including account details, profile information, vehicle listing and rental availability information, photographs, messages, offers, rental inquiries or requests, support inquiries, and other information you submit through the service.
SHAKO also collects limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the service, such as page paths, session or browser identifiers, device category, referral information, authentication events, and service logs. Infrastructure providers may process additional technical information, including IP addresses, for security and service delivery.
How information is used
SHAKO uses information to create and manage accounts, operate listings, offers and rental features, communicate with users, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, analyze platform performance, improve SHAKO, comply with legal obligations, and respond to support or legal requests.
Rental-related information
When rental features are used, SHAKO may process rental availability, requested or agreed dates, pickup and return arrangements, vehicle and owner details, renter and permitted-driver information supplied through the service, communications, cancellations and transaction status. Where a feature specifically requests it, this may include license eligibility or identity-verification information, accident or damage reports, inspection photos, mileage, fuel or charging records, insurance-related details and dispute evidence. Not all categories are collected for every transaction, and SHAKO does not presently represent that it directly verifies driving licenses or provides rental insurance.
Use of rental information
Rental-related information is used, as applicable, to display availability, facilitate inquiries and booking requests, coordinate handover and returns, communicate between participants, support rental operations, address cancellations, accidents, damage claims and complaints, detect fraud and unsafe or unlawful use, and comply with legal requests and recordkeeping obligations. If payment, identity-check or insurance integrations are introduced, their specific data handling will be disclosed when those features are offered.
Rental participant information sharing
To facilitate a requested rental, SHAKO may make relevant booking details and contact or coordination information available to the prospective renter, owner or authorized rental operator as needed for the arrangement, subject to applicable consent and legal requirements. Information necessary for an accident, claim or legal inquiry may also be disclosed to insurers, authorized service providers or authorities when justified and lawful. SHAKO does not make private driving-license or identity-document details publicly searchable as part of ordinary vehicle listings.
Rental records and data minimization
Rental request and transaction records, relevant messages, incident reports and related evidence may be retained for the time reasonably necessary for customer service, dispute resolution, security and applicable legal requirements. Users should provide only information requested through appropriate SHAKO features and should avoid posting license numbers, identity documents, home addresses or other sensitive details in public listings . Do not upload another person's driving license or identity document without an appropriate legal basis.
Public information
Information included in a published vehicle listing may be visible to anyone on the internet. Do not include sensitive personal information in content intended for public display.
Service providers
SHAKO may use third-party service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, storage, email delivery, security, analytics, and related infrastructure. These providers may process information on SHAKO's behalf as necessary to provide their services.
Sharing of information
SHAKO does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Information may be shared with service providers, with other users when required for marketplace functionality, when you direct SHAKO to share it, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or enforce platform rules.
Data retention
SHAKO retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain marketplace and security records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect legitimate business interests. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it is held.
